EE496 Design Project will focus on the complete redesign of the T/R switch driver board. The ADS18 Transmit / Receive Driver board is part of a larger project involving the E-2C technical upgrade for optimized radar.
The driver board is a bias circuit that pulses between -35V (reverse) to 5V (forward) at a low duty cycle. Primary focus will be on improving switching time; power handling; circuit dimensions; and environmental testing constraints.

► Preliminary pulser circuit; fabrication, testing, analysis, and comparison with desired data.

► Layout a fault detection scheme.

► Analyze and conduct simulations to verify the accuracy of possible fault detection schemes.

► Preliminary Fault Detection Circuit; fabrication, testing, analysis, and comparison with desired data.

► Confirm a single working fault detection scheme.

► Layout a complete driver board design. PCB size (dimensions), and packaging consideration for environmental testing. (routing of any wires / actual package must conform to the T/R switch package).

► Preliminary driver board circuit; fabrication, testing, analysis, and comparison with desired data.
